I can not believe March is just around the corner! For this post I thought it would be a good time to check back in on how you are doing with overcoming the 3 main mindset blocks that steal our power and keep us from reaching our goals – the illusion of control, scarcity, and comparison.
To recap, I introduced a 4 step process to help you overcome those three mindset blocks and reach your goals. The steps we have covered so far are:
- Step 1 – Awareness. You can’t change what you don’t know.
- Step 2 – Acceptance. You can’t change the past. Once you have awareness of how control, scarcity, and comparison are influencing you presently are you willing to shift your focus and become intentional about how you show up today?
That brings us to the last two steps!
Step #3 – Accountability
Being aware and accepting that the monsters are driving your bus only get you half of the way there. Now you have the opportunity to decide to make your desires match your actions and thoughts. For our clients we call this step – mean what you say and say what you mean.
Step #4 – Action
I love the quote from Yoda, “Do or do not, there is no try.” When you get to step four it is time to “do”, at some point you just need to jump in. Remember though, that life is about learning so enjoy the ride.
